Anglesey’s Valley Hotel brought to market for £1.25m

The Valley Hotel in Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales has been brought to market with a guide price of £1.25m.

This recently refurbished property combines letting bedrooms with a wedding and function trade along with an indoor and outdoor bar and an informal dining area.

Anglesey Inns have owned and operated the hotel for 30 years, having acquired the site from Burtonwood Brewery back in 1993.

The company shareholders are now seeking a reputable buyer for the business to bring new investment.

Paul Snape, director of Anglesey Inns, said: “It has been a difficult decision to put the Valley up for sale but we feel it will ultimately benefit all parties – shareholders, staff and customers. We will continue to operate as normal while the hotel is on the market, honouring all bookings and commitments and encourage our General Manager Rob Roberts and his team to keep on introducing new initiatives and customer offers. So it is very much business as usual at the Valley.”

Tom O’Malley, associate director – Hotels at Christie and Co which is handling the sale, added: “Being on the Isle of Anglesey, one of the UK’s top holiday destinations, the Valley Hotel has a strong tourist seasonal trade, as well as a vibrant local trade, making this a fantastic opportunity to acquire an established hotel business.

“We expect the hotel will appeal to a number of different new operators, from a local business person looking to take advantage of its healthy annual revenue, or a regional multiple operator who can take advantage of logistical expertise.”
