The Dalhousie Castle Hotel and Aqueous Spa has been sold by the Robert Parker Collection to a US-based private buyer.
The 13th Century castle features 35 bedrooms, a spa and a two AA rosette restaurant in the Dungeon Restaurant.
The hotel has been owned and operated by Robert and Gina Parker, as part of their luxury hotel group.
It was put on the market earlier this year as the Parkers decided it was time to retire.
The transaction was brokered by Gary Witham, director in Christie and Co’s Scottish Hospitality team and David Lee, regional director of Hotels – North.
Witham said: “This is a stunning heritage asset within easy reach of Edinburgh, and it will undoubtedly reap the benefits of the capital’s burgeoning overseas leisure market, which was proven by the strong international interest in the hotel.”
Lee added: “I have known Mr Parker for a number of years’, and we are delighted to conclude the sale of Dalhousie Castle Hotel for him.”
