Leeds Castle, near Maidstone, Kent, has announced it is creating four new luxury Lakeside Lodges, due to open later this year.
The lodges will be accessed via a private walkway that meanders through the Lady Baillie Mediterranean Garden Terraces and will enable guests to enjoy direct entry to the historic Grade I listed Leeds Castle.
The lodges will offer views over the Great Water from the private deck, as well as nighttime views through the stargazing rooflight directly above guests’ beds.
Designed by Koto, the lodges feature sculptural forms that maximise natural light, private spaces, Lusso stone bathrooms and large sliding doors.
Leeds Castle Foundation added that sustainability takes the lead in both design and production of the lodges, which are built using UK-grown timber and home-grown charred larch to minimise carbon footprint.
Helen Bonser-Wilton, chief executive of the Leeds Castle Foundation, said: “Our new Lakeside Lodges will add another exciting opportunity for guests to enjoy a luxury stay within the grounds of Leeds Castle.
“The lodges have been meticulously designed to offer a perfect blend of modern comfort and luxury, with breathtaking views of the picturesque Great Water and the historic Leeds Castle estate. We are confident that guests will be captivated by the unrivalled views, impeccable service, and the peaceful serenity of their surroundings, ensuring an unforgettable stay.”
