The Prince’s House Hotel in Glenfinnan, Scotland, has been brought to market by Graham and Sibbald for offers in the region of £500k for the freehold.
The boutique hotel, which is located on a prominent Glenfinnan plot close to the famous Glenfinnan viaduct, consists of nine bedrooms with a “roaring” F&B business.
The business also benefits from a large, open plan bar and bistro, which overlooks the adjacent burn, and a dining room with a breakfast conservatory that offers views across the glen.
According to Graham and Sibbald, the nine rooms are all of a good size and each has its own unique design. Room occupancy sits at a high level throughout the season and the hotel commands premium room rates for the area.
Peter Seymour, director at Graham and Sibbald, said: “We are delighted to bring to the market the Prince’s House Hotel. This outstanding hotel has proven itself to be a key player in Glenfinnan, which attracts large numbers of visitors throughout the year. Glenfinnan is a highly popular tourist destination because of its outstanding landscape, its history and, of course, the famous Viaduct which features in all of the Harry Potter films.
“The sellers have decided that now is the time to retire from the trade, leaving behind a well presented and highly profitable business for the next owner to enjoy.”
Kieron and Ina Kelly, owners of Prince’s House Hotel, added: “After 22 years at The Prince’s House, it is time for us to move on. There has been a lot of hard work in developing the hotel from where it was when we took over, to where it is now. The business has still to reach its full potential, but that is a job for someone else.”
