Rutland Hall Hotel near Oakham has appointed Adrian Pickard as its new director and general manager.
Pickard, who has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality sector, will help build on the 4-star lakeside resort’s “reputation as a leading destination in the UK”.
Pickard joined Rutland Hall Hotel from his previous role as general manager at The Headland Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall.
Pickard will bring a “fresh perspective” to the role, drawing on his skills in transforming operations, enhancing commercial performance, developing teams, and boosting sales and revenue.
According to Rutland Hall Hotel, Pickard’s “results-oriented approach is expected to significantly contribute to elevating the hotel to new heights”.
Since the new ownership in 2020, Rutland Hall Hotel has seen substantial investments and significant enhancements, including the refurbishment of all 66 hotel rooms, the redesign of the Main Hall, the launch of Blossoms restaurant and bar, and the development of the Pavilion, a new 500-seater indoor venue space.
Pickard said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Rutland Hall Hotel and look forward to working with the amazing team here to ensure that we position the hotel as one of the leading destination resorts within the UK.
“The upcoming projects, including the launch of the new Pavilion, one of the largest hotel event spaces in the region, and the development plans for a new spa and wellness facility, present exciting opportunities for growth and innovation.”
