Zoku Hybrid Hotels has announced the appointment of Patrick Nelson, the former executive VP of real estate at WeWork, to help the group as it gears up to debut in London

Nelson, who joins Zoku’s growth and innovation team, has previously helped WeWork drive its expansion across EMEA to a portfolio of 324 sites within 48 markets.

Having opened hotels in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Vienna and Paris, Zoku is eyeing to expand its portfolio to include the city of London

According to the group, this strategic move signifies its commitment to not only expanding its real estate footprint, but also to “bringing innovative mixed-use solutions to even more business travellers around the world”.

In an Indeed post, Zoku said: “With Patrick at the helm, we’re not just entering a new market; we’re ready to redefine the landscape of real estate in one of the world’s most vibrant capitals.”

Nelson added: “Zoku’s hybrid gives us a glimpse of what the future of real estate looks like, providing an improved experience for all Zoku guests, visitors and workers alike. The world needs more Zokus! I’m proud to help grow the Zoku business and bring Zoku to London.”
