Mama Shelter Shoreditch appoints new executive chef

Mama Shelter London Shoreditch has recently appointed Karan Ghosh as its executive chef. Ghosh brings with him a wealth of experience, having acquired over 15 years worth of culinary mastery. After discovering his professional passion for good food at India’s five-star The Park Hotel, Ghosh transferred to London’s Thames Valley University, achieving his bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. In the capital, Ghosh started out working for the likes of Crown Aspinalls and The Metropolitan Hotel on Old Park Lane, before taking a role as a junior sous chef for Rhubarb at the Royal Albert Hall. Ghosh went on to climb to the ranks to head chef soon after, working at Thomas’s Cafe (Burberry), El Pastor, and more recently, Skylight. On his recent appointment, Ghosh said: “I’m overjoyed to be taking on this role at one of East London’s most vibrant and dynamic destinations. The cheery atmosphere and collaborative ethos are infectious as soon as you step through the doors. I’m thrilled to be heading up the kitchen team and can’t wait to hit the ground running.” Mama Shelter London Shoreditch’s F+B director, Mattia Rinaldi, also expressed his excitement at the new hire: “Karan will be a huge asset to the Mama Shelter London Shoreditch team, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the family! His rich experience promises to strengthen our thriving F&B program even further and we can’t wait to see how he will benefit Mama’s menu moving forward.” Mama Shelter London Shoreditch is a dynamic hotel with a restaurant, Garden Bar, Ateliers for events and Karaoke rooms.
