Guests staying at the Premier Inn Burnley were evacuated at 5am on the 10 October following a fire.

Fire Crews were called to the hotel on Queen Victoria Road at 5:20am after a fire was found in a ground floor room. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus thoroughly searched the hotel and luckily no one was trapped.

A 60-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and was quizzed by detectives. Lancashire Police has since confirmed Linda Ingham, of Barkerhouse Road, Nelson, was charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life this morning.
