Valor Hospitality is set to open two new five-star hotels later this year in Northern Ireland along the Causeway Coast and in Scotland.
Northern Ireland’s newest five-star hospitality venue, Dunluce Lodge, sits on the edge of Royal Portrush Golf Club’s fourth fairway – the home of the 153rd Open Championship in 2025 and the links course that helped forge the careers of Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell, Shane Lowry and Darren Clarke.
With thirty-five luxury suites, Dunluce Lodge will provide guests with the opportunity to experience “impeccable service” and relaxation surrounded by the Causeway Coast.
The hotel also provides eight suites, with its own intimate dining space, and a fireside lounge space that can be hired for exclusive use. The property will also include a small spa and fitness facility.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience guided and curated experiences including country sports, the Giant’s Causeway and the world’s oldest distillery at Bushmills.
With complimentary private transfers to the nearby helipad and clubhouses at Royal Portrush, Portstewart Golf Club and Castlerock Golf Club, Dunluce Lodge will be able to accommodate golfers and non-golfers alike.
Previously known as the Scores Hotel, Seaton House at the Home of Golf will overlook the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse and is just a one-minute walk to the Old Course at St Andrews.
Dating back to 1864, the revival of the building’s original name, Seaton House, encapsulates a commitment to preserving a piece of the town’s history and ensuring its legacy is honoured.
With forty-two luxury bedrooms, five suites and three junior suites, guests will be able to choose a sea or garden view, with five rooms benefiting from their own private terrace.
Not only does Seaton House feature views of the Old Course, it also offers panoramas of Fife’s coastline including the vistas of St Andrews Bay and West Sands Beach, which gained fame thanks to the 1981 movie “Chariots of Fire”.
Aside from golf and sand beaches, guests are just a short walk away from St Andrew’s many historic attractions, including St Andrews Castle, St Andrews Cathedral ruin and the 600-year-old University of St Andrews.
The culinary experience at the hotel will be headlined by Scottish chef Roy Brett, of Ondine Oyster and Grill, Edinburgh.
Euan McGlashan, global co-founder and CEO, Valor Hospitality Partners, said: “It is an honour to be working on such incredible projects, in such breathtaking locations. Both Dunluce Lodge and Seaton House are designed to be intimately residential in feel with a very distinct sense of place and all the modern conveniences our guests will expect.”
Wilma Erskine, OBE, BEM, brand ambassador for Dunluce Lodge and Seaton House, added: “The eagerly awaited arrival of these hotels will signal a new dawn for links golf fans. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure the hotels’ guests, local golf clubs and wider communities are all treated impeccably. Both Dunluce Lodge and Seaton House will offer truly unrivalled experiences.”
