The Rollason Wood Hotel in Birmingham has been sold, marking a new chapter for the establishment. The hotel, strategically located for commuters with easy access to the city centre, rail station, and airport, boasts 38 bedrooms and various communal areas. Christie and Co broker Sam Roberts facilitated the sale, securing a new lease for the previous owner who sought to step back from daily operations. The new owner has ambitious plans for the hotel’s future.

The Goring’s Michelin-starred restaurant, The Dining Room, is set to unveil opulent new interiors by Russell Sage Studio on 20 May. The restaurant, part of the family-owned luxury hotel in Belgravia, London, promises fresh seasonal menus and a revived dining experience. Drawing inspiration from London’s grand residences, the redesign aims to reflect the hotel’s history and character. A new kitchen has been installed, and the menu will feature dishes such as roast Orkney scallop and Rhug Estate lamb.

Sopwell House has invested £1m in launching its Corner Suites, featuring nods to the surrounding countryside in their design. Each suite offers spacious living areas, luxurious bathrooms, and balconies overlooking the grounds. Guests can enjoy complimentary access to The Club at Cottonmill, including spa gardens with cabanas and hot tubs. Part of AB Hotels, Sopwell House aims to provide an elevated experience for its guests.

The new Holiday Inn Blackpool and Marco Pierre White New York Italian restaurant have opened as part of Blackpool Council’s regeneration project. General manager Mark Winter spearheaded the ‘Be More You’ recruitment campaign, attracting over 3,600 applications. The hotel features 144 bedrooms, conferencing facilities, and a fitness centre, with 80 staff onboard for the opening. The project signifies the growing enthusiasm for careers in hospitality and marks RBH’s 26th IHG opening.
