Georgian House Hotel, a family-run boutique hotel in London’s Pimlico, has announced the launch of a series of new city centre self-catered apartments in time for summer 2024.
The new development, named Chinnery House, sits within the Your Place umbrella – a new independent collection of UK properties offering boutique accommodation – alongside the flagship Georgian House Hotel.
The now open Chinnery House, located on Alderney Street, offers three new apartments sleeping 2-4 people a piece, with a further two apartments still to come, launching in Q1 2025.
The new private spaces are designed to offer flexibility and privacy blended with concierge elements of the hotel, to meet evolving consumer needs.
The restoration of the property and curation of the new apartments has been overseen by the hands-on family run team.
The Scandi-meets-Victorian interior design was created by Gabe von der Heyde, Serena von der Heyde’s son, with styling from Lou Eastham.
The restoration of the period property reveals “earthy” warm tones adorning the walls, complementing wooden floors, panelling, and high ceilings. Original windows bring light to the space and hand-picked artwork, plush soft furnishings, White Company toiletries and space saving designs are found throughout – each complete with a kitchenette.
Breakfast can be delivered daily, and like the hotel, a room service option is provided via a Papyon App, allowing guests to sample cuisine from a list of local businesses delivered directly to their doorstep.
Your Place founder, Serena von der Heyde, said: “I’ve been a hotelier in Pimlico since the 1980s, and to this day our family-run business is continually striving to better our offering for the benefit of our communities. Chinnery House is an exciting new affordable and stylish accommodation offering and part of our continued investment into preserving properties via time-honoured techniques.”
