Virgin Hotels Collection has announced the appointments of Johanna Kent as chief people officer and Leo Rotshteyn as global head of revenue management and distribution.
The appointments come as the group aims to attract top talent and “foster innovation within the hospitality industry”.
Kent joins the executive team with over 27 years of experience, in which she has cultivated “exceptional” employee experiences for globally-recognised brands.
Most recently at Virgin Orbit, Kent led the people and culture team, driving a 40% growth in headcount and successfully navigating complex challenges including a SPAC transaction.
At Mattel, Kent also spearheaded global initiatives such as a large-scale reorganisation, the acquisition and integration of a $175m (£135m) company, and provided front line HR support for over 1,800 professional employees.
Meanwhile, Rotshteyn brings over 30 years of experience driving multi-million-dollar profit growth in the hospitality industry. He joins from Preferred Hotels and Resorts, where he managed a complex portfolio of over 50 hotels, exceeding annual revenue goals for 10 out of 13 years.
His expertise spans revenue optimisation, distribution strategies, marketing, sales, and e-commerce. Rotshteyn is also known for his analytical approach, attention to detail, and ability to identify and implement strategies that maximise revenue potential and expand market share for hotels.
James Bermingham, CEO of Virgin Hotels Collection, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Johanna and Leo to the Virgin Hotels Collection family.
“Two dynamic leaders whose passion and commitment to creating memorable experiences perfectly align with our brand ethos. Their energy and fresh ideas will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter of Virgin Hotels Collection’s evolution as we continue to redefine luxury hospitality.”
