Dukes London in Mayfair has announced the appointment of Ben Chender as assistant sales director and Shene Karim as marketing manager.

Chender’s hospitality journey began in 2015, and since then he has honed his skills in sales roles across “prestigious” hotels, including the Marriott Park Lane and The Westminster London. His expertise working with “high-end” clientele and his proactive approach to sales ensures he will be a valuable addition to the team.

Meanwhile Karim, an experienced marketing professional, joins the hotel after roles at Casa Cook and Cook’s Club Hotels, and the global creative agency Innocean.

Guided by a passion for the industry, he will spearhead marketing strategies that highlight the hotel’s history, service and dining experiences.

On the new appointments, Dukes London commercial director Dermot Herlihy, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ben and Shene to the Dukes London family. Both bring a unique blend of experience, passion and innovative thinking that will undoubtedly enhance our offering.

“Ben’s deep understanding of luxury sales and his commitment to building strong client relationships align perfectly with our values, while Shene’s creative vision and dedication to sustainability will help us connect more deeply with our guests and the community. Their contributions will be instrumental in driving the continued success of Dukes London as we evolve and grow in the ever-competitive hospitality landscape.”
