Grantley Hall, a privately-owned estate in the Yorkshire Dales, has announced a new partnership with Walpole, the official sector body for UK luxury.
Founded in 1992 as a not-for-profit organisation, Walpole counts more than 250 British brands in its membership – recognised in both Westminster and Brussels.
As the voice of British luxury, Walpole’s purpose is to promote, protect and develop a sector worth £81bn to the UK economy and which supports over 450,000 jobs.
Grantley Hall’s decision to join the sector body underscores its commitment to “preserving the traditions of luxury” while innovating for the future.
The hotel offers 47 “elegantly appointed” rooms and suites, five dining venues – including the Michelin-starred Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall – and three bars.
Tracey Ractliffe, commercial director at Grantley Hall, said: “Grantley Hall is thrilled to join forces with Walpole, embracing this prestigious partnership with great excitement. As champions of British luxury, we look forward to collaborating with Walpole to celebrate and elevate the finest craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation the UK has to offer.”
Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole, added: “As one of Yorkshire’s finest destinations, Grantley Hall showcases the unique charm, innovation and craftsmanship that define the UK as a global leader in luxury and we look forward to collaborating on exciting initiatives that celebrate the best of British excellence.”
