London-based hospitality company, Kinsfolk and Co, has unveiled its “people-first culture” brand – REAL People – which is set to launch later this January.
The introduction of REAL People will coincide with the recruitment drive for Kinsfolk and Co’s debut hotel, The Newman, which is set to open in summer 2025.
Spearheaded by Ninoska Leppard, director of people and culture at Kinsfolk and Co, REAL People is said to “form the basis of the company’s people-first culture, grounded in authenticity, empathy, and a shared love for hospitality”.
The Newman, which will be located on Newman Street in Fitzrovia, will consist of 81 rooms and suites, a European brasserie, cocktail bar, and wellness floor.
As part of REAL People, the hotel has partnered with Saira Hospitality, a non-profit organisation that aims to transform how hotels connect with local communities through education.
This collaboration marks the organisation’s first pop-up hospitality school for a new London hotel with 10 out of the 40 graduates retained as part of The Newman team – and other local businesses encouraged to employ the remaining graduates.
Leppard said: “At Kinsfolk and Co we are on a mission to positively impact the hospitality industry. We’ll need an exceptional team of people to achieve our mission, so we’re not just looking for team members; we’re seeking Real People who wholeheartedly share our passion and commitment.”
Paul Brackley, founder and CEO of Kinsfolk and Co, added: “Real People encapsulates everything Kinsfolk and Co believes is fundamental in building a people-first business.”
