The Watergate Bay Hotel has announced the appointment of Sara Alexander as its new general manager.
In her new role Alexander will oversee the experienced leadership team of the hotel with a particular focus on Watergate’s three restaurants, outdoor experience and project delivery.
She will be closely working with the team on the ground and key stakeholders to ensure Watergate Bay Hotel’s ethos and guest experience is maintained.
She arrives amid the hotel’s upcoming expansion, with planning permission recently approved for its Tregurrian development, which includes new beach lofts and an expanded wellness offering.
Her appointment is part of a trio of recent appointments for the hotel, including Simon Mahon as COO and Chris Eden as executive head chef.
Alexander said: “I am thrilled to join Watergate Bay Hotel at this exciting time for the business. It’s wonderful to be part of the Watergate Bay team – it is an outstanding hospitality business that I have always admired. I look forward to using my experience to uphold the hotel’s brand and high service style for its guests but also to bring a fresh perspective and help the hotel to evolve to the next level.”
Mahon added: “We are absolutely delighted to have Sara join the team. Sara’s extensive senior leadership experience, knowledge of the market, expertise in food and beverage and her dedication to superb guest care will be a fantastic asset to us as we develop Watergate Bay’s operational capacity.”
