Danesfield House Hotel and Spa has announced that it will be hosting an “exclusive” culinary collaboration on 30 May as part of its Guest Chef Night series.
The event will welcome the 2025 Great British Menu Champion of Champions, Amber Francis, for a one-night-only experience, alongside Danesfield’s executive chef Matthew Edmonds.
Francis, who has been praised for her “refined and heartfelt” approach to modern British cuisine, is known for her sustainability-led ethos and beautifully balanced dishes.
Her appearance on the Great British Menu is said to have showcased “her technical excellence and passion for storytelling through food”.
Edmonds will be joining her, as his “dedication to seasonality and depth of flavour” have also earned him critical acclaim.
With a background in some of the UK’s most prestigious kitchens, Edmonds is known for creating dishes that honour tradition while embracing innovation, which the hotel said is “a perfect pairing for Francis’ signature style”.
The two chefs will present a “bespoke” six-course tasting menu that uses “the finest” local and seasonal ingredients.
Guests will be greeted with English sparkling wine from Roebuck Estates, while the hotel promises that each course “will be expertly paired with a selection of fine wines, chosen to complement the flavours and elevate the overall dining experience”.
According to Danesfield House, guests can expect “an exquisite celebration of the season’s best produce”, with dishes featuring tomatoes paired with ricotta, halibut, and Aurox hogget.
To finish, the chefs will serve a dessert inspired by Francis’ winning dish: a reimagined finale that “promises to be unmissable”.
