Farlam Hall has announced the launch of a new wellness space, The Sycamore Retreat.
Located in the Cumbrian countryside, the new therapy room invites guests to experience skincare treatments designed to promote relaxation, mindfulness and overall well-being.
The Sycamore Retreat at the 18-bedroom Relais and Châteaux and PoB Hotel embraces natural and holistic principles, offering treatments complemented by the partnership with GAIA Skincare (GAIA).
Guests will be able to choose from a variety of 60 minute treatments, including hot stone massages, facials, and head massages, all designed to cater to diverse needs and preferences.
The Sycamore Retreat has been designed by Kathy Mares, owner of Farlam Hall and a yoga practitioner. The space uses a “calming” colour palette of light purple and grey with wood accents.
Guests will also have access to the adjoining Recovery Room, retaining its original wall-to-wall wood and offering tea and coffee facilities, a selection of books, and a water feature, providing an environment for guests to unwind before or after their treatments.
Chef patron Hrishi Desai said: “At Farlam Hall, we are passionate about providing our guests with an experience that goes beyond luxury – it’s about creating a true sense of wellbeing. The introduction of The Sycamore Retreat is a natural extension of this ethos, offering a space where guests can unwind, rejuvenate, and reconnect with themselves in the serene surroundings of the Cumbrian countryside.
“The name honours the iconic Sycamore Gap tree, a symbol of natural beauty and aligns with our estate, which is home to many beautiful trees. It also connects to our exceptional culinary offerings such as the Cedar Tree restaurant. As more people are seeking spaces that nourish the body and mind, this new addition arrives at the perfect moment.”
