The Lion Hotel sold to RSK Hospitality 

The hotel features 34 ensuite guest bedrooms across four floors, as well as a separate annex with six self-catered apartments

The Lion Hotel, an 18th Century hotel in Criccieth on the Llyn Peninsula, has been sold to RSK Hospitality for an undisclosed price.

The hotel features 34 ensuite guest bedrooms across four floors, as well as a separate annex with six self-catered apartments, a dining room, bar and snug. The property also contains a private beer garden and customer car park.

The four-star hotel has been family-run for 46 years and was sold due to the owner’s retirement.

The hotel has been purchased by RSK Hospitality, who said: “We are delighted with the acquisition of the Lion, as we look to continue to add to our portfolio in towns and tourist destinations around England and Wales. We wish the previous owner all the best, and special thanks to Tom O’Malley at Christie and Co.”

Tom O’Malley, associate director at Christie and Co, who handled the sale, added: “I am delighted to have completed on The Lion Hotel, on the Llyn Peninsula. The business will enjoy a fresh lease of life under the new owners who have grand plans for the hotel and aim to bring it back to its former glory.
