Rosewood London appoints Emmanuele Selvaggi as hotel manager

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Rosewood London has promoted Emmanuele Selvaggi to hotel manager, effective 16 June 2025.

Selvaggi joined the hotel in 2021 as director of rooms and has since overseen record performance across the division.

Under his leadership, Rosewood said the front office team delivered its highest upselling revenue since the hotel’s opening, while improvements to guest recognition contributed to increased scores in guest satisfaction metrics including LQA and TrustYou.

He brings more than 18 years of experience in luxury hospitality, having previously held roles at Four Seasons properties in Boston, Geneva, Doha, Prague, Florence and London. His final position at Four Seasons was as hotel manager in Florence.

Tessa Gorman, managing director at Rosewood London, said: “Emmanuele has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership and operational excellence during his time with us. His promotion to hotel manager is a natural progression that recognises his significant contributions to our success.”

Selvaggi added: “This promotion represents not just my personal journey, but the collective success of our incredible team. I look forward to continuing our tradition of exceptional hospitality while exploring new opportunities to enhance our guests’ experiences.”

Rosewood London opened in 2013 as the brand’s European debut and now operates as one of the capital’s best-known luxury hotels.
