Fairmont St Andrews has appointed Kristian Campbell as its new general manager ahead of the resort’s 25th anniversary. Campbell joins the luxury coastal resort from healthcare firm Elanic Medical, where he worked as a senior executive. He previously managed the Crieff Hydro Resort and oversaw operations at the Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews.

The appointment comes as the 520-acre estate prepares to mark a quarter of a century in business. The hotel said Campbell will focus on operational excellence, commercial growth, and strengthening local partnerships.

The resort features two golf courses, dining facilities, and a wellness centre overlooking St Andrews Bay.

Campbell said: “Having previously worked in St Andrews, I know what makes this part of Scotland so special. Its history, natural beauty and global reputation are remarkable, but it is the warmth of the people and strength of the community that leave a lasting impression.

“Fairmont St Andrews is an exceptional property with a talented team and a reputation built over many years. I am excited to return and help shape the next chapter, focusing on outstanding service, memorable stays and continued growth across every part of the business.”

He added: “As the resort approaches a quarter of a century of welcoming guests, there is a real opportunity to celebrate everything that has been achieved while continuing to evolve for the future. I look forward to working alongside colleagues, local partners and the wider leadership team to build on that success.”
