The Redgarth, a pub and restaurant with letting rooms in the town of Oldmeldrum, has seen its asking price reduced from from £850,000 to a fixed price of £815,000.

The Redgarth boasts six large ensuite letting rooms furnished to a very high standard, two of which enjoy views of the eastern Grampians including the Bennachie range. A private internal staircase gives access to the accommodation located on the first floor.

The inn has been cared for by the owner Stuart Singer, who plans to retire but offers a new owner a unique opportunity of mixing work and a rural lifestyle.

Alongside the bar and restaurant there is a dining room, private garden and car park. The bar and restaurant is situated at ground level and can accommodate for around 60 via a mixture of moveable tables and chairs, as well as fixed seating.

A modern dining room with moveable tables and chairs can accommodate around 40 guests and is used for breakfasts and private events. Located at ground floor to the rear of the building is a fully fitted commercial kitchen, boiler room, cellar and office.

The carpark has the capacity for around 30 cars and there are two 22 kW electric chargers installed in the rear carpark for use by patrons. There is also sufficient area to rear of premises for further development.

The business is highly popular as a holiday destination, being central to the Castle and Whisky trails including local Glen Garioch Distillery.

Simon Watson, business agent at Christie and Co, who is handling the sale, said: This is a rare and excellent opportunity to acquire a long-established, well-performing business in Oldmeldrum. The Redgarth would be well-suited to an owner-operator family business or could complement an existing portfolio due to its high level of turnover.”
