The Cary Arms Hotel and Spa in Babbacombe Bay, South Devon, has been brought to market with a guide price of £4.5m.

Originally built in the 1880s, the historic seaside hotel has been owned by the de Savary family since 2006.

The 18-room property has been extensively refurbished under the family’s ownership. Additions include six sea-view Beach Hut rooms, two Beach Suites, and a luxury spa with a hydrotherapy pool.

Alongside the hotel’s food and beverage facilities and gardens, which have won multiple awards, the property also includes sea-view cottages available by separate negotiation.

Lana de Savary said: “The Cary Arms has been a true passion project for us. It has been an honour to restore and re-imagine such a breathtaking and unique seaside property.

“This feels like the right moment to step back and allow new owners to take it to even greater heights.”
