DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole has opened a permanent ice-cream parlour in partnership with Jude’s, becoming the first hotel in Brighton to do so.
Named “Jude’s at The Met”, the new outlet launched on 15 July and is located on the ground floor of the seafront hotel.
The space features the ice-cream maker’s distinctive blue and white stripes and serves a selection of ice-creams and sorbets.
The initiative marks a collaboration with Jude’s, a South Coast-based family-run business, and is part of the hotel’s wider focus on working with local producers.
The parlour also offers desserts by Brighton-based patissier Julien Plumart, a finalist on television programme Bake Off: The Professionals. The selection includes handmade macarons and cakes.
The partnership aligns with Hilton’s Travel with Purpose strategy, which includes support for community initiatives and collaborations with regional suppliers such as Brighton Gin.
Jude’s at The Met is open daily from 12pm to 8pm.
Rekha Sohun, general manager, said: “We are excited to be partnering with local businesses that hold family values at its core and look forward to delighting guests and locals alike as they explore our amazing city.”
