The 115-bed hotel, which is an extension of Anfield pub The Sandon, will be located just a “stones’ throw” away from Liverpool Football Club.
Owner Kate Stewart has invested £1m into its extension, creating a place for those visiting to stay and offering them a “convenient and comfortable” hotel that is “packed with signed memorabilia”.
Stewart has created 15 new jobs for local people, and chose to use only local businesses for the build, combined with locally sourced materials.
Commenting on the hotel’s progress, Kate Stewart said: “I’m delighted to see The Sandon Hotel coming together. We’re implementing the finishing touches and in just a few weeks it will welcome its first guests meaning that the pub and hotel combined will offer the complete experience.
“The Sandon is loved by Reds fans so it’s only right that we created a place that those travelling from further afield, or fans who want to relax and forget about finding a taxi home, can stay at right in the heart of Anfield.
She added: “I’m also thrilled that the hotel has contributed to the local area. We have used local businesses, locally sourced materials and created jobs. It’s great to be able to give something back to Anfield and the wider Liverpool area.”
