The New Place hotel in Hampshire, managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts, has reported “record” commercial growth of 17% in revenue over the last 12 months.
Additionally, the group saw a rise in room revenue of 10%, increase of food and beverage sales of 28% and record number of weddings celebrated at the venue throughout the year.
According to the hotel, its success is also a reflection of how the team “avoided any complacency” from the investment of £1.3m since new owners bought the property in 2017 and the plans for many more changes ahead.
General manager, Richard Powell, said: “We had a record Christmas period, the venue’s highest in seven years, and believe our recent achievements have been due to our efforts to engage with local and business communities, and the focus of our amazing teams on excellent service and maintenance of our beautiful location, which has seen guest satisfaction scores rise to over 90%.”
James Mahaffey, director of sales, added: “We have been exploring new ways for both business and leisure guests to use and enjoy the site. As well as corporate team-building sessions, networking events and staff parties, our family fun days and outdoor cinema proved huge hits, so we are repeating them this year, along with Murder Mysteries, Comedy Dining Nights and Wine and Dine evenings.”
