Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland has announced the appointment of Andy Gray as general manager of the Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour.
Gray joins the 173-room property with 18 years of experience working with Jurys Inn, most recently as GM at Jurys Inn Watford, where he’s been since 2011.
According to the brand, he joins the property following an “exciting” transition period for the hotel. Formerly known as The Grand Harbour Hotel, it became a Leonardo Hotels property in January of this year.
As GM at the hotel, Gray will build on the hotel’s success with business and leisure guests and oversee the hotel’s planned refurbishment, which is due to start in October and aims to improve the hotel’s customer product and service offering.
Jason Carruthers, managing director of Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland said: “Andy has been an asset to the Jurys Inn family for many years and we’re excited to see him take the helm as general manager at Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour. We are confident in Andy’s ability to grow and nurture this hotel as Leonardo Hotels continues to expand its presence in the UK hospitality market.”
