The latest opening is a former boot factory located in the heart of the St Pauls district just minutes from Bristol’s city centre and Stokes Croft. There will be 23 bedrooms above a bar, cafe, garden, restaurant and events space.
Part Georgian townhouse, part boot factory, the Grade I listed building was on the ‘At Risk’ register in 2015 when Charlotte and acquired the property.
The hotel aims to revive the building’s history – restoring original beams, industrial sliding doors and Georgian cornicing as well as exposing the original brick walls, typical of the hotel group’s “signature style”.
Justin Salisbury, said: “For us, the real appeal of this dilapidated building is the opportunity to bring a corner of this historic square back to life for the community to enjoy”.
The restaurant and bar, to be named The Boot Factory, is designed to be a hub for hotel guests and the local community alike.
