Sychnant Pass Country House hotel, situated on a mountain pass of the same name within the Snowdonia foothills, has been brought to the property market off a guide price of £1m.
Set within circa three acres of landscaped gardens, the 12-bedroom hotel achieved a five- star AA rating in 2019 and benefits from extensive leisure facilities including an indoor heated pool, sauna, gym, and outdoor hot tub.
Situated within two miles of Conwy and six miles of the popular coastal resort of Llandudno, the business attracts visitors to the “tranquillity” of the surrounding countryside as well as numerous local attractions including Conwy Castle, the Victorian promenade at Llandudno, Bodnant Gardens, the Trefriw Woollen Mills, and a number of golf courses.
The hotel has been owned and operated for the past nine years by Janet McLarty, who is seeking a sale in order to retire from the hotel trade.
Alistair Greenhalgh, director at Christie and Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Sychnant Pass Country House offers potential purchasers a stunning location, excellent facilities, and a great reputation.
“For a hands-on owner operator seeking a lifestyle business with a strong trading history it ticks all the boxes. The hotel also benefits from a civil wedding licence, and ample garden space for marquees which offers the potential to further develop the weddings and events aspects of the business.”
