London Town Group has announced it has leased the Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel to hotel brand OYO.

The modern purpose built hotel offers 112-guest rooms in a river front location in the heart of Sheffield.  Boasting a position less than half a mile from Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield Town Hall, Peace Gardens, and the Arts Tower.

OYO has 23,000 hotels across 800 cities and 80 countries. It specialises in working with established independent hoteliers such as London Town Group enabling them to further their brand presence in the UK market.

Koolesh Shah, founder and managing director of London Town Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with OYO as an early adopter of the brand in the UK.

“The company’s growth is fuelled by its success in China with presence in 337 cities with over 500,000 rooms and we are pleased to offer OYO this opportunity in the UK. We feel our Sheffield Metropolitan hotel is a perfect fit for the brand.”

London Town Group of Companies is a private sector corporation which owns and operates hotels in London and the provinces, and franchises with the major hotel groups and high street brands.
