The Savoy has appointed Raquel Pirola as commercial director to oversee sales, marketing, revenue management and brand positioning.
Pirola joins the hotel with more than 20 years of international experience, having previously held senior positions at Four Seasons, EssilorLuxottica and Riverstone Living.
The appointment comes as the hotel continues a series of investments in its rooms and guest facilities, with newly renovated accommodation scheduled to open this summer.
Pirola will work alongside the leadership team, including managing director Franck Arnold, to manage the commercial evolution of the property.
Her previous experience includes leading integrated teams for the Four Seasons UK hotel collection and managing global marketing for brands such as Ray-Ban and Oakley.
The management team stated the appointment is intended to ensure the brand remains distinctive while maintaining its historic legacy.
Pirola said: “It is a privilege to join The Savoy, a Fairmont Hotel, one of the world’s most legendary grand dames.
“While the heritage is unrivalled, the unveiling of newly renovated rooms this summer marks a significant step in strengthening its market positioning, and I look forward to contributing to this next chapter of growth. Along with the hotel’s world-class team, we will ensure that The Savoy continues to define contemporary luxury while honouring its extraordinary legacy.”
