The Van Dyk by Wildes hotel and events venue in Derbyshire will unveil the results of if its £6m refurbishment this December.
The “extensive” renovations include the addition of a 54 new bedrooms, a spa, Brasserie, a refurbished reception and three walled gardens.
According to the hotel, Van Dyk has played an “important role” in the local community over the years, more recently, being the “go-to” venue for dinner and accommodation, as well as hosting a broad range of weddings and events.
Set in the grounds of the original Georgian house, the brand-new space pays homage to the building’s history with a “contemporary, refined country aesthetic” across all three stories of the property.
Paul Wildes, CEO of the Wildes Group, said: “The Van Dyk is uniquely positioned at the corner of three prominent counties, as such, it has not only attracted people from miles around for a number of years, it is also well and truly cemented in the local community.
“It was therefore vital for us that we maintained the essence of the hotel that has comforted people for so long, but also bring it into the 21st Century.”
He added: “Whether this is the quality of the Spa, restaurants and events spaces or the fact that we are going above and beyond to make the hotel as environmentally friendly as possible.”
