The Langham, London has announced plans for a £7.5 refurbishment creating three new areas, due to launch in time for the hotel’s 150th anniversary in 2015.

The investment – the most extensive since 2009 when the 378-bedroom hotel was officially reopened after an £80m refurbishment – will include three new areas, the Regent Wing, The Langham Club Lounge and the Sterling Suite.

Due to be unveiled in April next year, the Sterling Suite will comprise six bedrooms, offering a personal space, a private media lounge and extra security features.

The hotel’s former Club wing will also see the renovation of 46 rooms and suites. The bedrooms will be designed by Richmond and feature Nespresso coffee machines, upgraded bathrooms and enjoy direct access to the hotel’s fitness centre and swimming pool, a private door will provide direct street access to Regent Street.

The renovation will also include the creation of the new Langham Club Lounge which will offer private check-in, check-out and personal concierge, an adult-only drawing room and a library.

Duncan Palmer, managing director and regional vice president Europe, Langham Hospitality Group, said: “This renovation will be key in elevating The Langham, London to the next echelon of luxury.

“The Regent Wing will be a sanctuary for guests who prefer the feeling of a private and discrete residence while the Langham Club Lounge and Sterling Suite will provide the ultimate in luxury amenities and service aimed at the most discerning clientele.”
