SLH launches ‘private residence’ collection

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has today launched a collection of private residences that will offer guests the personal service of a hotel and private space of an exclusive villa. 

The booking website, which represents over 520 hotels around the world, said that it was responding to demands of the luxury hotel sector.

In an annual SLH survey completed by over 13,000 SLH Club members worldwide, privacy and intimacy was identified by over a quarter (25.7%) of respondents as the most important factor when booking a luxury holiday.

Paul Kerr, CEO for SLH, said: “In 2014, we have already seen a 27% increase year on year in the number of exclusive-use hotels (under 10 rooms) wanting to join SLH. There is clearly a demand for this type of property which has led the way for the launch of private residences by SLH.”

The residences will be handpicked by SLH with 10 rooms or less and will offer five star facilities.
