Accor has announced the opening of a new Ibis budget hotel in Swindon, the company’s first hotel in partnership with First Inn Ventures.

The new hotel includes 73 en-suite bedrooms alongside an on-site cafe bar, which serves  coffees, locally sourced beverages and snacks.

The hotel is the result of a new partnership between Accor and First Inn Ventures.

Philip Lassman, VP development at Accor Northern Europe said: “There is much development planned in Swindon to regenerate and improve the town centre for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

“There are already many reasons to visit Swindon but with new housing, offices and retail space planned the town is only going to increase in popularity.”

“As such, it’s an ideal place for an Ibis budget hotel which offers convenience and comfort in a central location at an affordable price. This is the first hotel we have opened in partnership with First Inn Ventures and we hope it will be followed by many more joint developments.”

Minhaz Manji, director of First Inn Venture, added: “We are delighted to have opened our first hotel in partnership with Accor. ibis budget brings with it international recognition and brand standards which will attract guests visiting Swindon for business and leisure.

“We are proud to have worked together with the development, franchise, D andT and brand teams at Accor to build, design and open a new hotel in the town centre. We look forward to developing our partnership further in the months and years to come.”
