The 200-year-old West Loch Hotel in Argyll in Scotland has been brought to the property market for £200,000.
The hotel includes eight bedrooms, owners accommodation, whiskey lounge bar with an extensive whisky gantry and a 40-cover restaurant.
The business is now closed and has ceased trading and the current owners are looking to focus on other business interests.
Owners Andrew and Rosaline Ryan said: “Our time spent at the West Loch was one we will always cherish. The welcome and support from local communities coupled with fantastic Islay trade and the on-going need for accommodation and good places to eat made for a successful and good life.”
Josh Hill, business agent at Christie and Co, who is dealing with the sale, said: “The sale presents an exceptional opportunity for the new owners as there is strong demand for accommodation in this area due to salmon farming.
“Additionally, lapsed planning had been granted to develop the hotel by adding further rooms and a second whisky bar is in development. We expect to see interest from a range of buyers including first-time buyers, experienced operators and developers due to the attractive asking price.”
