The Mandeville Hotel in London has implemented a series of Covid-19 initiatives to help key workers and vulnerable people in the local area.
The Marylebone Hotel has announced it is working with Smarter Giving to engage with St Mary’s Hospital and local food banks as well as local residents to assist with groceries, pharmacy pick-ups and wellbeing packages with vital needs.
The Mandeville is offering their concierge service to assist with groceries and pharmacy pick-ups.
Local residents should email or call the provided contact details and the concierge team will accept orders and book in time slots throughout the week. All deliveries will comply with necessary Covid-19 precautions to ensure an entirely contactless process.
The hotel is also set to donate 100 weekly wellbeing boxes to Westminster’s St Mary’s Hospital responding to the coronavirus & local food banks. Staff who are working long hours or can’t go home due to family members and are self isolating, will receive care packages including toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, bottled water and snacks.
The Mandeville is working with Smarter Giving and Imperial Charities to ensure it reaches the staff. The hotel is also offering its parking spots for essential workers, who are working during the pandemic.
Chetan Bhanot, GM at The Mandeville said: “This is a time we need to come together and support our community and those essential workers who are keeping us all safe. We have our team employed to ensure we can do what we can to help.
“We are also actively working on a safe comeback plan whereby we can engage with guests to ensure their safety and wellbeing, with a series of contactless initiatives.”
