Kew Green Hotels has appointed Russell Duckworth as finance director, to support the group’s continued domestic and international growth strategy.

Duckworth joined Kew Green in March 2020. Classically trained with ‘Big Four’ accountancy firm PwC, his interest in hospitality started when assigned to the Southern Sun Hotel Group as an external auditor.

His career has spanned a period of 25 years, holding a variety of positions around the world from South Africa, British Virgin Islands to the UK, working with a number of medium to large corporate companies including Le Meridien, Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin, Rocco Forte and Virgin Limited Edition.

Chris Dexter, CEO of Kew Green Hotels, said: “I am delighted to welcome Russell to Kew Green Hotels to support our continued drive for operational and financial excellence and providing outstanding performance for our hotels, owners and partners.

“This key appointment for the group cements and builds upon our continued focus on our people, our customer and our industry leading profit delivery, at this a critical time.”

The news comes as Kew Green Hotels appointed Oxana Chernaya as the director of procurement and cost.

In her new role Chernaya will support the group’s continued domestic and international growth strategy and will provide “further expertise” to hotels and partners.

The hotel group said she brings a “wealth of experience” in procurement and cost management in hospitality operations, consultancy and retail industries across the UK, EMEA and CEE markets, where she worked for large corporate companies such as Marriott, JLL, DTZ and Kingfisher.
