P&G Professional, the away-from-home division of health and cleaning products corporation Proctor and Gamble, has partnered with the Bed and Breakfast Association in bid to support small hospitality businesses “at a crucial time” in the UK.
The pair said the new deal will help small businesses implement new hygiene measures as they continue to re-open following lockdown closures. The initiative will aim to provide “expert” advice, materials and training for B&B and guest house owners across the UK.
B&B Association members will be able to apply for P&G Professional’s CleanPLUS service. Those who purchase a set of products from the brand for use in their guest house can then apply for the “stamp of approval” (in window sticker or digital asset form) via P&G Professional’s UK website.
The partnership will culminate with a campaign during B&B Week 2021.
David Weston, chairman of the Bed and Breakfast Association said: “The Bed and Breakfast Association has a longstanding reputation for supporting the industry with guidance and expertise, and we are thrilled to be partnering with P&G Professional to communicate the importance of hygiene and cleanliness at this crucial point in time.
“The CleanPLUS experience will be of huge value to our members, who will be looking to provide peace of mind for customers that the business adheres to only the highest standards.”
Greg Elmore, P&G Professional country leader added: “We understand that owners of small hospitality businesses rely on positive ratings to secure their bookings, and that many will have felt the impact of COVID-19 this year.
“We are delighted to be working with the Bed and Breakfast Association as a credible industry body to spotlight the steps the industry can take to prepare for customers, and with our CleanPLUS experience, set them up for success.”
