Stockport’s Bredbury Hall and Country Club has been brought to market off a guide price for the freehold of £5.25m.

The hotel comprises 149 en-suite letting bedrooms, with the property reporting a net turnover of £4.10m for the year ending 2019.

Situated in Bredbury, Stockport, the hotel is “well positioned” to take full advantage of the business opportunities provided from the Stockport and Greater Manchester vicinities.

The hotel is located two miles from Stockport Town Centre, 12 miles from Manchester City Centre and 10 miles from Manchester Airport, and is situated near transport links to junctions 25 and 27 of the M60 motorway.

The property also features conference rooms, banqueting facilities with various capacities across 10 suites, a lounge, and bar and brasserie with accommodation for 60 covers.

There is also a recently refurbished 200 cover Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar and Grill restaurant and “popular” nightclub with capacity for 900 guests.

Martin Davis, director of hotels and leisure at Lambert Smith Hampton who is handling the sale, said: “We are delighted to bring Bredbury Hall and Country Club to market and we firmly believe that this represents an excellent investment opportunity. It is rare to find an opportunity like this which offers so much potential to operators.”

“The nature of Bredbury Hall offers a number of potential opportunities to rebrand and reposition the hotel, in particular, the re-purposing of the 16th Century barn which could be utilised as either a wedding venue or spa and leisure facility.”

He added: “We believe that as a well-established hotel and country club in the north west, interest will be high for this sought-after investment opportunity.”
