The Westcliff Hotel in Westcliff-on-Sea, South Essex, has been sold to Indian-based MGM Muthu Hotels – its second property in the UK.
Located on the clifftops near Southend-on-Sea, the 55-bedroom hotel features a restaurant, bar, two function suites and three syndicate rooms.
The property was sold in an off-market deal by Fleurets for an undisclosed sum off a guide price of £1.8m.The property joins the 88-bedroom Belstead Brook hotel in Ipswich, Suffolk, which was marketed by Fleurets last year for £2.5m.
MGM Muthu Hotels currently operates 14 other properties in Portugal, Spain, India, Singapore and the Caribbean.
