Roomzzz Aparthotel opens new Chester property

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Roomzzz Aparthotel has announced the opening of its new Chester property and the launch of its “evolutionary” new look – ‘New Generation’.

The 64-bedroom aparthotel is a £5.5m conversion of an existing office space and features multiple penthouse suites, and a new look to the brand’s interiors, including its kitchen, living and bathroom areas.

Roomzzz said the ‘New Generation’ concept makes use of bold and bright interiors, and uses the local culture of each hotel, such as sayings and landmarks, as part of its design.

Roomzzz Aparthotel Chester City joins the company’s existing portfolio of properties in Leeds, Newcastle and Manchester which have all undergone £2m refurbishments to bring them in line with the brand’s new look.

Mark Walton, head of Roomzzz Aparthotel, said: “We want to make Roomzzz instantly recognisable so that guests always know when they are staying at one of our aparthotels. The new generation will strengthen the brand so our ‘ZZZs’ are synonymous with quality, comfort and, most importantly, a good night’s sleep.”

The second new look hotel will be the brand’s first opening in the Midlands – Roomzzz Nottingham City – which is expected to open in May 2015.
