Leisure property specialists Fleurets has announced the sale of the Red House Hotel in Salisbury, Hampshire.
The property is situated at the junction of the A303 and A338 to the north of Salisbury, a short distance away from Thruxton Motor racing circuit and Stonehenge.
The premises has 29 bedrooms, with a comfortable 3-bedroom owner’s quarters. The restaurant allows 38 covers and a conference room which can be configured for 90 delegates in theatre style.
The hotel had been operated as a lifestyle business for a number of years by the previous owners, who have now retired. The new owners, Hampshire Boutique Hotels Ltd., own the award-winning ‘G! Boutique Hotel’ in Southsea, and are looking to overhaul the business. They are looking to take the hotel into a new era and plan to develop the wedding and function business, making use of the extensive grounds of four acres.
Will Thomas from Fleurets said: “The sale of the Red House is a perfect example of the improved market conditions, as at the time of sale there were two other interested parties, who had also submitted offers for the property. I am however delighted we have a now concluded the sale and wish Mr and Mrs Bealing an enjoyable and well earned retirement.”
Eli Gray, Managing Director of G! Boutique Hotels, said: “We fell in love with the place from the moment we saw it. We think that with imagination and creativity we can transform the property and the business, and will be applying the same approach of outstanding service married to cutting-edge design and funky, fun features that have made G! Boutique Hotel such a success in Southsea. We spent months working with Will Thomas to find the right property, and they really came through for us.”
