Travelodge has announced 550 new jobs across the country in the lead up to Christmas.

The group said that 100 positions will be created for its new hotel openings in London and Oxford, while 450 other jobs will be created across the UK including 45 in the company’s head office.

The move comes as Travelodge, which operates 504 properties across the UK, continues with its nationwide £100m hotel modernisation programme.

Jon Hendry Pickup, COO, said: “Travelodge has recently undergone a high quality transformation following a £100m modernisation programme across all of our hotels. We’re attracting more customers than ever before and we continue to open new hotels.

“To support this, we’re looking for people to join the team who are passionate about delivering great customer service.”
