The Eden Hotel Collection has announced work has begun on a luxury spa in the grounds of Mallory Court hotel in Royal Leamington Spa.

The boutique hotel group said it is the first full-scale spa development the group has undertaken, and is expected to cost £6m.

The spa will use the latest energy-efficient techniques and “state-of-the-art” design to create a spa in keeping with the listed building and the designs and extensions that have been undertaken, said Eden.

The spa, due to open at the end of 2016, will include high-end facilities but the group said it will disclose the spa’s features and facilities in the coming months.
