Three Bude hotels on the market for £4.75m

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

A collection of three boutique hotels in Bude, Cornwall, has been put on the market by Colliers for £4.75m.

The three hotels – Hebasca, An More and Tommy Jacks –  share a ‘surf chic’ theme and are located on North Cornwall’s Atlantic coast. All three properties have been recently refurbished by their owners, a local family who are looking to retire.

Simon Wells, hotels director at Colliers International, said: “Three Hotels in Bude sounds like a Channel 4 reality show but is in fact a marvellous leisure concept aimed at the young and young-at-heart holidaymaker as well as North Cornwall’s surfing community.

“The hotels have been overhauled and refurbished for a whole new generation of fun-loving but demanding holidaymakers and offer a terrific year-round business not to mention exciting growth potential.”

The 23-bedroom Hebasca was the first hotel bought and refurbished in 2012, featuring a cocktail bar and restaurant. The 27-bedroom An Mor hotel features an outdoor bar and party venue for 100.

Meanwhile Tommy Jacks, The Times Top UK Budget Hotel 2014 and 2015, is the closest property to the beach. It includes 20 bedrooms, a restaurant and a sun terrace.
