Thomas Doyle has been appointed general manager of Clayton Hotel Chiswick ahead of the completion of its £20m refurbishment and extension project.
Doyle joins the 227-bedroom hotel and conference centre having worked at Jurys Inn for 17 years. He worked his way up to general manager of the companys Islington property.
Speaking of his appointment at the property, which is part of the 13-strong Dalata Hotel Group, Doyle said it was a “very exciting opportunity”.
He said: “The completed new look will be unveiled in February 2016 when we hope local residents and businesses in the area will come and appreciate our fantastic facilities, fresh new look and welcoming feel.”
The renovation project, which began in June 2014, includes the addition of 104 bedrooms and the upgrading of existing bedrooms, a new bar and restaurant, new meeting and events facilities, and a more spacious reception area.
Clayton Hotel Chiswick, which has been fully operational throughout the work, was formerly the Chiswick Moran Hotel andwas acquired by Dalata Hotel Group as part of the £324m purchase of nine hotels from Moran Bewleys Hotel Group in February this year.
It was rebranded with the Clayton name in May.
