Hotel booking app launches in the UK

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

JustBook, an app that allows users to book hotels, has launched in the UK.

Launching on all three major smartphone platforms, iPhone, Blackberry and Android, JustBook is a free app that finds the best possible accommodation in a city at discounted prices.

Each day between midday and 2 am, JustBook publishes the best room deals from a network of hotels – three per city. Rooms are categorised as Luxury, Upscale, Design and Comfort and are individually selected and recommended by members of the JustBook team.

All the deals available on JustBook are exclusive to users of the app. The company estimates it has so far saved thousands of Euros for some of its 80,000 users in Germany – where it first launched a few weeks ago.

Founder of JustBook Stefan Menden said: “The JustBook app is already very popular in Germany and we hope to replicate this success in the UK, which was always our next priority. JustBook is a simple app aimed at discerning travellers and business people whose plans have changed at the last minute, haven’t got the time or inclination to trawl the internet but at the same time expect the highest standards from their accommodation.

“Mobile technology is empowering people in many aspects of their lives and we like to think JustBook makes booking a high-end hotel room easier than it has ever been before. With the Olympics only weeks away, it will come in particularly handy as availability and prices are likely to be extremely unpredictable.”
