The British Hospitality Association (BHA) has launched a campaign to highlight how joining the organisation can benefit small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
The ‘On Your Team’ campaign will focus on the issues of particular relevance or concern to independent hotels and restaurants, and show how the BHA’s ‘back office’ services can help.
The association is encouraging members with legal queries to call its free helpline ahead of the 2017 business rates revaluation. The legal helpline also offers independent business advice on issues such as employment contract concerns and regulatory uncertainties.
Ufi Ibrahim, CEO, said: “As the leading trade organisation for the industry, it is our purpose to pursue the removal of critical barriers to growth for SMEs, and provide the tools and support for SMEs to implement regulations and make their businesses cost efficient.
“As an industry we face a myriad of challenges. Following the recent revaluation, businesses are subject to the biggest business rates change for years, and some hotel and restaurant owners will see large increases.”
