The new Churchill Bar & Terrace at the Hyatt Regency London, on Portman Square, has appointed its manager before its grand opening on the birthday of Sir Winston Churchill, who the bar is named after.
Alan B Cook was unveiled as the bar manager of the prestigious London hotel, having previously worked as the bar manager of the Rivoli Bar at the Ritz and the Playboy Club – amounting to more than 20 years in the hospitality sector.
The bar celebrates the great love that Churchill had for his wife Clementine and subtle references to this can be found throughout using art, travel, animals, champagne, cigars and whisky.
Cook said: “I am very excited to be joining the Churchill Bar & Terrace. We have recruited a team of highly knowledgeable and passionate staff who will be on hand to engage with guests and take them on a journey through our menu of classic cocktails and fine cigars.
“I very much look forward to being a key player in creating a lasting legacy at the hotel,” he added.
